What is a master decorator? Our definition is based around honing our trade over decades. It means applying all of the knowledge we have gained over the years. And giving each and every project, we complete the best possible results.
We come to a close now on our external decorating work. This summer was particularly challenging with the weather. Dodging rain is not a good mix with painting windows. We have been able to complete all of our commitments though and are enjoying being back inside.
Our external decorating work does tend to vary in the level of deterioration. Some windows are doors require more ‘restoration’ than others.
What a Master Decorator can Achieve
For any exterior season we will only take on as much work as we think we can complete. The challenge this summer was the huge amounts of rain that we had. We had to find out ways in which we could still get our work done.
This particular client did not necessarily realise what poor condition her windows and doors were in. There was no long-term plan to stay at the property, so she wanted our help to do our best with what was there. This was certainly a challenge, but one that we take great pride in.
Each window needed careful restoration. All of the rotten wood needs to be removed. If not, it will soon deteriorate again. This meant sanding back each and every piece of wood that we were going to treat.
Once this had been done, it was then time to re-build. This is done in a range of different ways. Some wood needed entire replacement; others could be built back up with a high-grade wood filler product.
The end result for each window was phenomenal. Our client has been in contact a number of times since completing the job to say how pleased she is. Her window cleaner even commented that he has never seen such a transformation in all his years of cleaning windows. We will always go the extra mile to ensure the best possible result for every decorating project we take on. Looking for a decorating quote? Call today on 01477 535862.
