Hand painted furniture is timeless and beautiful. It works in so many properties from the most traditional to most modern. It compliments every style of furniture and adds real character to your home.
When you are designing furniture, you are often given the choice of material. Some select solid oak, and some look for a more cost-effective option such as MDF. Your chosen decorator will discuss the painting process with you prior to the work commencing. It is important to get an accurate quotation that appropriately reflects the work needed. Hand painted furniture does take time. However, the finishes that can be achieved are well-worth the effort.
Hand painted furniture is completed in a number of stages. From a base coat, undercoat and finish paint. There are a number of finishes you can select ranging from a matt satin finish through to a high gloss alternative. We are well equipped to offer information and advice on which paints will be best for your decorating project.
Painted Furniture
This is a project we recently completed in Somerford, Cheshire. The cupboard was installed and finished with a base coat by the joiner. It was then decided that the interior would be a grey finish. The outside of the cupboard would be a beautiful shade of pink. The paint finish chosen has a matte, hard-wearing paint. This was selected due to the fact it was located in a hallway of a busy family home with pets.
Our client was extremely pleased with the results:
“Vantage Decorators were professional from the first time I spoke with them. They were helpful when I needed to choose colours and when I was unsure of the paint finishes that would work best for our hall cupboard. They were fast in their responses and extremely friendly. The result was incredible, and we would be happy to recommend this decorating Company to anyone.”
