Creating beautiful homes, one project at a time offers us real reward. We often discuss the fact that design is individual. And bringing our experience, knowledge and skill set means that we can help to create exquisite rooms.
Creating Beautiful Homes – One Project at a Time:
We flash quickly back to our last external project from this year. We have worked with this client for almost a decade now. They purchased a home in Alderley Edge and beautifully restored it. They then moved to a different home and are currently restoring this one. We are working with them in phases to help complete the interior of their home. However, we were able to help before the weather turned to work on small areas of their exterior.
With older style properties it is often difficult to identify the condition of the wood underneath until you start stripping it back. Sometimes we get a pleasant surprise and sometimes it starts to reveal the depth of the damage. Rest-assured that we are able to help. Our client trusts us implicitly to deliver the highest quality results.
The process meant taking away absolutely all damaged wood. This, to some clients, can seem like a daunting process. However, done properly, once repaired, it will stand the test of time.
If painted over, it would further rot, and the paint would peel quickly. Water and damp under paint is never a good mix and therefore it is important to complete the process correctly. Otherwise, it is absolutely false economy. If steps are missed out or rushed, then it is likely that you’ll be paying to have it done multiple times in comparison.
These pictures show you the process from start to finish and the results we were able to achieve. As you can see, it was important that we went above and beyond to complete the look. We were able to re-grout missing areas. Sort areas where the paint had overlapped onto the stone. The end result was a clean and beautiful transformation.

We look forward to completing the exterior decorating next year when the finer weather returns. Our top tip: try not to delay decorating your wooden windows and doors. If paint has flaked or there are areas open to the elements, they will weather quickly and deeper into the wood. Get in touch to request a quotation for next year.
